Responsibility, ethical conduct and sustainability are reflected in Oppiva Invest’s operations. As a state-owned special-purpose company, OI meets the expectations of the state owner and integrates responsible actions into all aspects of its business.
Corporate social responsibility – an integral part of finance and investment
Corporate social responsibility and ethical conduct play a significant role in both Oppiva Invest’s own investment activities and its lending operations. Responsibility concerns the responsibility and reporting of all activities.
In addition to legislation, code of conduct, and articles of association, OI’s operations are guided, where applicable, by national and international agreements, national and European regulations regarding state aid, and the business and ownership policy objectives set by the Finnish state.
Responsibility programmes and targets
Oppiva Invest is committed to the following responsibility programmes and targets:
- Environment, social and governance (ESG) – criteria for environmental and social responsibility as well as responsible governance in investment policy
- Know your customer (KYC) and anti money laundering (AML) – practices related to customer due diligence and regulations for preventing money laundering and the financing of terrorism
- The UN guiding principles on business and human rights
- Identification of a politically exposed person (PEP)
